Following on from the question about the 3-Wheeler and helmets, I thought I'd run a poll.
Imagine you have the use of a 3-Wheeler, or own one. You are doing a mix of town driving and back roads; would you wear a helmet or not?

Voted "sometimes". It would certainly depend on the type of driving, but it would also depend on the weather.

I rather often ran my dad's 4/4 without windscreen (to be sure he didn't take it)
i always had a helmet with me when there was chance for rain Otherwise you are as fine as on a mountainbike when downhil-riding
Rain is like bullets shot in your face

I think that helmets in a trike will look rather odd.
A leather flying helmet & goggles is a different matter - Rocky & Bulwinkle style.

Helmets doesn't look out of place in an AC Cobra. Of course, you have to be hammering it, to look the part.

Of course, you have to be hammering it, to look the part. I think that's the point, if you are tootling round town you don't need one imho. But, if you are hammering down some typical British secondary roads, you don't need a pebble thrown up into your face! Helmets become de rigueur. Now who's going to LMC in 2012 by 3W, maybe we should have a new thread on a sticky or is anybody else mad enough to be even thinking about it?
