Think those hoods would work for hobbits but not if you’re more than 5 feet tall! Thanks for the mention Shaun! But I think even I wouldn’t fit😂😂 Apparently the technique for the old two and three speeders is to undo the hood, get in the car and then fix the hood over yourself, as it is impossible to get in without. Some cars had the optional extra of either one or two doors which made life easier.

I seem to remember a concept design that had such a canopy. Based on a Spitfire type canopy. I don’t know if one was actually made though.
I think John posted a "concept" he produced using a graphics program, very convincing too it was as long as you overlook the need to move the steering to the centre! It was this Peter. It was a wet miserable day and I had nothing better to do!  Totally impractical of course!

I still think it looks fantastic.
It would be interesting to see if, using CAD software, a side by side canopy, as on the EE Lightning Trainer, could be produced to fit over the upper body tubes, with a lifting canopy, rather than a sliding one!

Something like Caterhams half hood could work, would need a taller screen and wipers though and you arm and shoulder would still get wet  Fun to get in

That is exactly one of the reasons why I sold my caterham in the end , great drivers car as it was.
With full or half hood it was a nightmare to get in and out , and my back gave made the decision for me.
If the Morgan had such a hood it would be the same, so no hood for me !

Too true! Not sure I would be able to limber into a C7 these days... for the M3W the trick would be to fold it up / back to get out. As there is no doorhole anyway...
