If you go to the S&S web site and find the Easy Start Cam video it show a very similar sound. I would bet it is the cam shafts causing the clearly audible clicking.

Don't believe it is the cam-S&S videos and online text indicate the cam mechanism does not move once the engine is running above a few hundred rpm-it's held in place by centrifugal force. More likely the sound is related to the nonadjustable valvetrain.

Well thats what S&S would lead you to believe. My point is that the sound is very similar and originating from the same general area.
Valve lash, noisy lifters or rockers?
What is clear is that it is not the muffler producing the tapping, just maybe augmenting the noise.

It is amazing in that the M3W is making me realize how quiet and smooth my HD Milwaukee 8 2017 Road King

Will the Centa just bolt right up to the HD Milwaukee 8?

Will the Centa just bolt right up to the HD Milwaukee 8? I only works with the '06 and earlier 4-bolt primary to crankcase bolt pattern. In '07 Harley went to a 5-bolt pattern primary. Also you will need the older crank end with the short splines and threaded crank, not the '07/newer full splined crank with the internal bolt for the compensator. I don't really know why the S&S Wedge went with the Harley old style bolt pattern, unless they were looking for Harley guys to retro upgrade say an EVO or Shovelhead to a Wedge motor. I don't think I've ever seen that upgrade. Don't even know if they'll fit in the old frames with the new wider "V" design. The M-8 would be a GREAT motor to throw into a M3W with its twin counterbalance on the Softail models and even the touring single counterbalance motor would be tons smoother than the S&S even with its wider "V" design.
