I would be very surprised if it wasn't the same, the only anomaly on the stud fixing windscreens I have found over the years is on my current Plus 8 which has 10 studs. Whether that is just a Plus 8 thing of the era I don't know.

Give them a quick call to check first maybe.

As far as I know, Allon White can modify your hood to have a zip-out rear window. This should let enough air through to allow normal speeds with the roof up and no side-screens.

Thanks Robbie, I’m off to AW anyway on Saturday to pick up some neck roll/supports, get my nipples greased and fix both speaker covers back on again (the shaking keeps making them fall out). I shall enquire within....

This is actually the way I like to drive my 4/4. Roof on and no side screens. Pinged down the motorway like this no issues. 1984 car.

I have a 2015 4/4 with Easy Up Hood. I have driven it with fixed rear bolts without sidescreens in heavy rain at 90 to 100 km/h, no problem.
And at summer to protect me against the sun without sidescreens and loosen rear bolts on the german autobahn at 170 km/h with no problem either. As the rear fastening bolts were not locked, there was enough space between the lower bar of the hood and the car body (approx 10-15 cm), so that the wind could go through.

Best regards from the german north sea shore

Even for cars with the 'Easy up' hood I would have thought it would be quite possible to make up a half hood/bimini, if one gets hold of the header rail bit and some form of hood sticks? The only problem I can see is that of storage, but there must be an easy way to overcome this, with thought. I really like the look of that Japanese half hood, it really flowed with the lines of the car.

Beneviro, and others, many thanks. Even Lady HB said the idea of leaving the backbolts undone was v clever.
Many thanks and apologies for the thread drift!
