and other Philosophical Questions.

Its an age old question and one that can be tackled from many angles.

It raises other questions of course like, is there a God, how was the universe created and what happens to our soul when we pop our clogs.

My own thoughts are that earth was created from the big bang and through millions of years of chance, life was created. I also believe when you're dead, you're dead. That's it, finito, end ex, done and dusted, nothing after that last breath apart from eternal nothingness. You simply cease to exist.
I think this is one of the reasons I act spontaneously, in the now.

And on that cheery subject, its over to you.

Interested in your explanation for ghosts & other spooky things.
Methinks that as over the centuries the burden of proof is of such a magnitude
that an open mind is wise.
By the way I am not religious.

Buy a Three Wheeler with the factory-fit Banner battery and an immobiliser.

Leave for a week.

Then you'll know.

Hmm! I don't believe much in the "here after" either......

However I was talking to a friend about a relative of mine (I won't go into details here) who had been murdered with a broken bottle used as the weapon. We were after office hours in a multi-story, steel framed, building. The building suddenly creaked and cracked as though there was a sudden drop in temperature and a big glass tray on the coffee table between us exploded into a thousand pieces.

Now that I call spooky. Needless to say we were both pretty shocked.

I’m sort of agnostic
I think Bonesie is spot on but I kind of hope I’m going somewhere better (where Morgan’s are cheap, perfect in every way as they leave the factory, never break down or need servicing, just need driving) I reckon I’ll be worm food, fuel for a furnace or dumped in a black sack at the tip whichever is cheapest.
In the mean time, I’m planning on only having one go round, having fun and spending my savings.

Given enough time, experimentation, observation I think anything can be explained.

Always good to keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out.

Extraordinary claims (like ghosts, afterlife, and other Woo topics) require extraordinary evidence. None has ever been forthcoming. It's human nature to attribute things which cannot be explained to magick or the supernatural, but that's just a cop out in my view.

Religion is a marvellous thing, it gives comfort to those who need it and a code of living for those who benefit from it. It's not something that I've ever found personally necessary, but I have no problem with those that do.

And as to what is it like being dead? Pretty much exactly the same as what it was like before you were born, I should think.
