Hello everyone,

Delighted to have found this forum having placed a deposit on a new Plus 4 yesterday. I am in the process of deciding which colours for the paint and leather, and I have to confess I am finding it difficult!

Cant wait to start motoring.......

Welcome and well done for finding a well kept secret society!!!!
It's not just the paint & leather you should worry about - it's all the other stuff.

If you haven't visited the factory yet, you must make every effort to see what goes on. thumbs

Thanks! I definitely will. The dealer was kind enough to show me one of the photographic books of the manufacturing process and it just looks like an awesome place.

Hi and welcome. I discovered the forum just after my first factory visit and its a mine of information. I found the factory so fascinating that I've been back for one reason or another several times and three tours...all in the course of 6 weeks! Yet another visit on Friday to pick up the car I was "persuaded" to buy on my second visit! Luckily its on my doorstep!!

For colors, I recommend using rhe 3wheeler configurator
You can see the color-combo's of paint+leather
On something vintage like your +4

I realy like limegreen with lots of mettalic flakes, combined with dark green leather,
Or mustard yellow with the same green leather

For repairs its always wise to use a 'big manufacter color'
Like the Jaguar gynmetalgrey on my max
Or the Bentley Sandstone (yellow) that could make a Supersports look more fabelous than the sadly gone Lady Di

Thank you, I'm just looking at the configurator tool now and it's quite a handy thing. Have to say I love the look of the 3 wheeler. £30k is steep though!

Welcome and congratulations on your order.

This thread may be of assitance as it shows a variety of different coloured Classic / Traditional Morgans.

Colour is a very personal thing and many on this site have agonised over what colour to paint and trim their pride and joy in. Feel free to bounce ideas off us all but keep in mind, only one opinion really has the final vote: yours. thumbs

A visit to the factory is a great idea but my suggestion would be to wait until your car is being built - there is something special about being there, and seeing your car, during the build process.

Back to colours, remember there really is no limit - if you can find a car in a colour you like (either in or out of production), Morgan should be able to match it for you. As for leather choices - as long as you can find a source for the leather, Morgan will use it to trim your car! The standard leathers often wear the best and have been tested; therefore, I'd stick with these if you want to be safe and reduce the stress of colour choice. grin2

Good luck.

Scrolling through the 45-pages of photos in the Morgan photo gallery may also help. (If you click on the thumbnail photo, you will open the full post with all the photos - clicking on the photos within the post will also bring up a larger version).

Thanks Simon, that's giving me some ideas. At the moment I am thinking Stingray metallic with black leather upholstery and grey piping.

I know that would look great, but part of me wants to get something a little different.

Welcome Cleaner and congrats on placing your order. cheers flag

Speccing the car is a large part of the fun I think and whilst many people like to play safe, others (without mentioning any names Asbo!)like to be a bit more adventurous with colours; including me. wink

Whatever you eventually choose, don't forget that red cars are faster... woohoo
