I'm finding that the online sites like morgan-spares.com are a bit hard to navigate. My goal is to buy new rubber and seals for the entire body. Is there any source out there that will consolidate the necessary pieces into a kit?

Incidentally they were the first people to put together a complete kit of stainless fastenings for people such as you undertaking a rebuild.

I received the following less than helpful response from HOEM:



There are at leat 23 seals/gaskets I can see in my late night vino impacted vision:

2 * Headlights
2 * Small lights below headlights
2 * Front Fender Signals
2 * Mirrors
2 * Bonnet
3 * Windshield attachment
2 * Body to Wings below doors
2 * Decorative Chrome/Rubber below doors
2 * Wings around rear enders
4 * Tail lights

Not to mention every thing I'll want to get with my follow-up order to be placed for the interior! I'm really surprised to be pushed back to the hard to navigate website I originally mention.

I'll eventually sort this out and post a complete list to help some future member that wants to pay the same attention to detail during a fresh paint job.

In the light of the day I found 6 more:

4 * Corner protectors on the bonnets
2 * Between the nose and the front wings

That brings the total to 29 now.

The beading strip between the wings (fore and aft) and the body is sold, and typically installed, as a single piece, running from the lower forward edge of the scuttle on one side of the car, around the back, and up to the lower forward edge on the other side. It is cut-to-length when fitted to the car. When I did my car, I omitted the piece that runs across the car at the trailing edge of the body. In my opinion, it doesn't add anything functionally or aesthetically, and only serves to catch dirt and water. (There's a folded sheet metal strip that secures it; I ditched that as well.) I also deliberately cut the beading strip at the juncture of the front and rear wings to allow for water to drain.

If your purpose is develop a comprehensive list of all the rubber bits needed to restore the body, I think you missed a few: Rubber grommets/spacers between the front and rear wings, grommet let into the scuttle at the top corners of the doors, weather strip under the windscreen, rubber beading between the dash and scuttle, "horse shoe" door stops, gaskets under the windscreen wiper fittings, gaskets under the sidescreen etc.
Do you want to replace the firewall grommets?

As to sourcing, why not just call Morgan Spares, as John Worrall suggested, give them the year and body type (2 or 4 seater) of your car and a credit card number. They know what's needed and can supply it all. There's no need to deal with their website or to try to come up with a wish-list on your own.
