I'm a big Pink Floyd fan but in this case, my take is the same as David Mitchell's. If you are saying that grammar and spelling and proper English usage don't actually matter then that's fine ... just give me back all the years I spent learning this stuff!

I loved my Grandma although she did frequently get somewhat pickled after half a shandy which made the whole family cry hysterically at Christmas gatherings. And her language and pronunciation used to suffer a little....
