I'm driving 1000+ miles a week at the moment, not in the Morgan I would add. I've lost count of the number of close shaves and displays of appalling driving experienced every day. So thoughts turn to the benefits of having a dashcam. Any recommendations? I also use a separate sat nav as I can move it from car to car so is a combined nav and cam worth considering? Your thoughts welcome!

Be careful of combined sat-Navajo cam - some models are very basic sat navs but priced high. A friend bought a Garmin sat nav / dash cam and after 3 months have found it to be unreliable and difficult to use compared to their old Garmin.

Waze on your smartphone with a Bluetooth earpiece. .
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I have a Blackview dash cam that was professionally installed just infront of the rear view mirror
It links to my mobile wirelessly looks very purposeful and the software App is very good
The only issue is that because of the BMW electronics they couldn’t fit the facility to have the camera on when the car is off and parked with the battery drain cut out. They explained that it triggers an sensor issue

I tried a Blackvue dashcam in the MOG but had to return it as there was no way of adjusting the impact sensitivity. Every time I went over a bump the camera thought I’d crashed and saved the file so it could not be overwritten. A very well made camera but expensive. When I raised the issue there was no tech support. Emailing the manufacturer was a waste of time. I replaced the Blackvue with a mini 0806S which has been excellent. The video can be set to a higher resolution than the Blackvue. It’s discrete and fits behind the rear view mirror. In a tintop the rear view mirror makes it almost invisible. If you want a rear view camera as well take a look at the mini 0906. which I’m about to get. Lee Marks at Combi Marketing has been great to deal with. The mini series of cameras are available elsewhere at lower prices, but if you have a problem you won’t get any support. If you want to read reviews of other cameras take a look at Techmoan.

Viofo A119 with GPS seems excellent so far on our Skoda and Morgan

Do not buy the Garmin combined GPS and Dashcam the processor is not man enough to run both. We trialled 4 of them and they all crashed when trying to follow a route.

Nextbase cams get good reviews even the cheap ones. Dont know if sensitivity is adjustable.
