It looks just the same as the Sports Grey as you say.
Good luck with registration next week, I can't wait to hear of your driving experiences.

Finally roadlegal and registered .

First drive was to the local racetrack where the annual sportcarmeeting was held this weekend.

Motus performed and drove excellent , just the minor hick up when we ran out of gas on the way home.

Photo taken while waiting for wife and a petrol-can.

Looks great and glad You used a 2 ltr engine. Did You get a final weight measurement? I am very curious and excited about this.

Hi

Yes , weight with all fluids and a half tank of petrol and including 85 kg driver was total 790 kg. So just under 700 kg dryweight.

As has been said, if you can do this why hasn't anyone else done this in the last 30 years???

Well Peter, it needs the vision, the ability to find the components, put it all together, and then the determination and stamina to see it through. I know from experience how tough it is just to do a bare shell rebuild when everything is available, and how easy it is to lose the will to continue.

This project has all those attributes, and the fact that Carl can work metal so professionally puts the icing on the cake. The fact that no-one so far as we know has attempted this, shows that it's not a project to be taken on lightly, and if you were to sub contract all the work, it would become super expensive.

Very impressive Carl!

Carl, the result is just incredible and amazing. Thanks again for sharing all the pictures of the building process. I can say you combine all the good features together: Planning, feeling for aesthetics, technical knowledge, craftsmanship, inventiveness and much more. That looks so incredibly professional, that was certainly not your first project? and I could hardly believe that you are a hobbyist. I haven't seen anything better from any professional. Hats off!
This is a car that I would very much like to test drive.
