Been working on a new design for my rally timers. What do you think ! :-) I have designed this to take clocks of various sizes so the bottom bobbins move and the push buttons are also adjustable. The clocks I put in my timers are old generally so you couldn't use them for serious timing, however they do make attractive desk clocks. from an engineering POV you could do with constraining the up down movement to a vertical plane - currently you risk the two clock setting off at different times or the T sheaped whatsit tilting to operate on stop watch only.
but pretty as it is, why go mechanical in this electronic age?
