Hi Folks
Sorry if this has been dealt with before but I'm intrigued to know how many were made in each series.
Contributions gratefully received and thanks in advance.

R, there is an aero register somewhere on this site, it was originally set up by GAJET It is somewhat incomplete as MMCs build records were, 20 years ago, a bit hit and miss. Sadly, the website where it was hosted was closed down last year as it wasn't GDPR Compliant. I can't remember the total production of the Aero chassis cars, but now that they are consigned to history it would be interesting to know the total, over 20 years. My guess is about 2000 - 2500. Try a PM to GAJET.

I had a hunt through some previous threads as I do remember seeing this discussed before. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthread...e-and-targa-have-been-planned#Post128473

That's why you get such good residuals...……….only 98 New PLus 8's at Jan 2013...……...maybe only 200 now?

I think if you include the Plus 8's on the Aero chassis, then you might get to 1,500-1,600 total. If just Aero, 1,2,3,4,5,GT, GTN, Aero Coupe, Aero Supersport and Aeromax then 1,200 is more likely.

That seems the likely ballpark -there's 1000 or so on that image in Alistair's post: there were only another 15 or so Coupe's produced. IIRC by the end of Coupe production Morgan had bought/commissioned another 200-250 V8s. We know there's 50 run out Plus8, and 8 Aero GT - and 130 or so Aero S5 There's a fair bit of rumour, guesswork and memory in this, but 1200-1300 seems the right sort of range. Will

Will editing myself :-) & I've no idea how many Aero chassied Plus 8s might have been built between 2013 & 2017... so adding those onto my guess of 1200-1300, and Shooter's 1500-1600 could well be the mark, if they continued to made at around 2 per week over that period, which is entirely possible. And that last 200-250 engines were used on S5s, GTs, +8 50th and a sprinkling of +8s in 2016/7/8.

Interesting to see the start of production date. Mine was registered mid June 2001 so I assume start of production was May time

All record keeping for these numbers includes a small degree of "what was it again" at the factory I suspect. The Aero has never been a high volume model even to the same degree as the M3W or any of the Trads. It is a niche of a niche (that gets under your skin in most cases) that finds the right owner.
