Hi Dave, and welcome. What rubber do you have on the front? John. Hi John Thanks for the welcome. Those are Excelsior Racing tires from Amazon.com. They grip okay. Not a lot of tread depth. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, congratulations and welcome!
There is a big Morgan gathering coming this weekend in Cambria, CA: Mog West. Would be cool if you can join us!
I believe Dennis would still be able to register you.

Welcome Dave, Enjoy the M3W ( love the Westie, we have Cavalier King Charles spaniels and the love sitting in the "D" or the Morgan) Hi OZ Thanks for the welcome. I imagine your spaniels would look great riding along. Could you get them to wear goggles? Pearl wouldn't have it. Cheers, Dave

Are you going to run up to Big Sur? Wish I could be there! We'll drive around Paso Robles/Cambria/Morro Bay for the rally on Saturday. I am driving from Santa Cruz and will take Highway 1 al the way You guys will have a blast. It is my favorite scenic drive, and stopping at Nepenthe for lunch and beverages would be the icing on the cake👍 I am green with envy. 😎 And then if Nepenthe is not your cup of tea then Rocky Point restaurant or The Highlands Inn.

Mine have a more modern pattern. Also less tread depth. I like the looks of yours much more. Where did you source yours? Chrome rims. Golden headers. Updated bonnet latches. WOW! Very nice! Dave

Dave, these came from NewEngland Motors. Wheels and tires together and balanced.

Dave,
Welcome! This is indeed the place to learn about all Morgans, but especially the M3W as there is not a lot of solid information out there "in the wild" on these machines. I guess because they have only been around for a few years vs the 110 for the original versions.
I see your car does not yet have the steering upgrade, aka "comfort steering kit". You've indicated the shocks eliminated the bump steer, but that's not really possible as bump steer is a product of the relative geometry between the control arms and the steering track rods. Different shocks may mask the effects of bump steer, but can't have a material impact on the geometry. Having driven machines with and without the steering kit, the difference to me was quite dramatic.
Steve +1 You really need to sort that as well. A further improvement is with the Empire kit now supplied by Krazy Horse in the UK. This moves the pivot point of upper wishbone out from centreline of car reducing its length and placing the pivot point in line with that of the steering track rods, further reducing bump steer. The unequal length wishbones also increase negative camber under squat to aid cornering. It also fully adjustable.
