I did think about that but am worried if it breaks off & gets sucked into the engine.I might though use vaseline

You might be able to get a spun aluminium flanged tube which would fit inside the fibreglass section...……..
Demon Tweeks or similar sell such things.

I did think about that but am worried if it breaks off & gets sucked into the engine.I might though use vaseline Vaseline would work but goes quite fluid when hot My choice would be Blue Hylomar, used it for years, handy for domestic plumbing too

Dave I was thinking of doing that on the outside. The inside is not round & not a standard size. I was worried I would then have to reduce the inlet diameter & thus restrict air flow.
Jon yes I blue Hymolar in stock. If it keeps coming up with pending faults when I have the breather & T piece to spec then I may go that route.

So far so good. Pending fault has not reappeared.

Today I fitted the brass 10-12-10 t piece from ebay via China. This replaces the plastic 12-12-12 fitting I bought when the old one broke up on removal.
