Dab of oppo; an achievement yes, but pleasurable, well not for me. On the 1200 miles home to Colorado after MOAVII I did 450 miles each day for two days and 300 the last day with temperatures in the 90sF and 115F when crossing the Mojave Desert, Just so not pleasurable.
Richard: the road is the Patchwork Parkway Scenic Byway and the pass is at 8000ft at Panguitch. It was an interesting 10 miles or so, as you can see I was the lead Morgan as there were no tracks in the snow. We took it slow and steady and all was well, the windscreen wipers struggled a little with the weight but coped.

length and time.... well.... up to Columbus one afternoon.... 300 miles.... heading back on the byways 350 miles.... the first I left at 1 in the afternoon (after work) the second a relaxed day drive back
hard to say.... in the US we often have to travel lots of miles. Many of our states are bigger then whole European countries

Did 940 miles in one day in my Plus 8 from Lilburn, Georgia to Niagra Falls Canada. Took a little over 14 hours

In 1968 I did a drive from Newport Beach California to Newport Rhode Island in 4 hours under 3 days with a co-pilot. We were driving a new TR4aIRS.
The return trip was 4 days towing a 17’ mahogany sailboat.

450 miles in a day for me. A good quite helmet helps a lot on longer drives.

In what order would you rate those discomforts (number 1 being the worst):
a. the seating positing
b. wind noise
c. loss of bladder control due to vibrations
d. no dead pedal
e. nagging co-pilot
I'm genuinely curious what will make me throw in the towel. I've done long drives and day long trips but never in such a unique combo.
I intend to hit snowdonia - nice sweeping vistas - empty farm roads - my kind of trip !

You left off option F. Bevel box whine.
The type of windscreen you have will make a difference.
So far my trips in the M3W have been limited to 75 miles but that is going to change once I get past the first oil change and a weepy front crank pinion seal sorted out.

I did quite a few long trips in mine , often 100/150 miles and sometimes longer .
I think I would add option g. the weather !

For us, wind noise and the desire to stretch out are the two key factors that limit us to 100-150 km at a stretch (we are tall (1.95 and 1.8m) so more exposed to noise even wearing helmets) - after this type of distance we typically have a break and swap over which is a good safety approach. 3 or 4 of these stretches in a day is do-able if distance coverage is required but this is a touring car so enjoying places on the way is all part of the fun.
