Honestly... I’ve searched the forums from the alternative list to the battery replacement thread. Can’t find satisfaction, lol. My dealer said they’re using an Interstate battery. I may just ask her which one, but I wanted to ask you all. Don’t wanna do ANY mods. Just looking for a correct size and CCA battery readily available here in the colonies. Mines going on 3.5 years and figure I’ll just prophylactically replace it before it leaves me stranded. Thanks for the advice.

Get the Earthx e36d, the best you can get. Call them and ask to include L terminal adapters.

Have you installed one in your car? Perfect fit? Couldn’t find an e36d. Is it the etx36d? $350 ?

From the EarthX website:

"If you have a high compression V-Twin S&S engine greater than 110ci , you may exceed 680 cranking amps and will exceed our ETX36’s capabilities. The ETX36 series is limited to 680 max cranking amps. We do offer 2 upgraded options which is the ETX900 (900PCA) or the ETX1200 (1200PCA). Big Dog motorcycles need the ETX900 and custom bikes/V-twins over 124ci need the ETX900 or ETX1200."

Interesting, as I have a similar LiFePO battery rated at 720 cranking amps and its working fine.

Yes, etx36d. It’s more than enough for the M3W. I have one installed for almost a year and I just forgot it’s there.

You would have to make a small base for the battery tray (CA motorcycle license plate fits perfectly), as it’s a bit smaller than stock.

You would also need two L terminal adapters (ask to include those when you order).

EarthX batteries were certified for aircraft use and you do not need a special LiIon charger. (You do not really have to charge ot at all).

Do you top up the battery once a year? The OEM Banner is not sealed-for-life...

Irrelevant. I want to replace an almost four year old battery. That’s all.

I would go with the most powerful battery you can afford and that will fit.

The more power available the less stress on the battery when a big load is present therefore less degradation to the battery.
