Hello the Gang,

To respond to Richard this Kallista is equipped with the v6 2.8i (injection) Ford Cologne engine, a real pleasure to drive.
I like both cars, the Mog is more popular but I really should recognize that the Panther Kallista is much much more comfortable to ride than the Mog.
This Kallista has really a modern suspension, this is its biggest advantage.
I spent 1000 hours to restore it and a bunch of new parts to have it "very clean" to finally hear from my wife "I don't like it because it's an RHD" !
So I'll sell it and search for a nice LHD.
That's is life ...
This Sunday I'm going to participate to "La Traversée de Paris Estivale 2019", at least 3 Panther Kallista are already registered over the 700 to 800 cars already registered.
Traversee de Paris
I cannot do it with the Mog as it is not a 30 years old classic car.

Enjoy this week-end with your toys.
Cheers
Pierre-François

Thank you Pierre for the story of your Kallista, a real labour of love and I'm really sorry to hear you are not keeping her after so much work. I never knew they fitted the great Cologne V6 in it and the added bonus of good suspension a very handy quick car I imagine.

Enjoy your Classic car gathering, there look to be some real beauties attending looking at the site, Giles (pandy) maybe attends this.

I remember looking at them when new on a motor show stand Richard (probably NEC, but may have been London).
Don't think I still have the brochure now, but I remember reading various road tests, mainly of the V6 and comparing to Morgan.
More than 10 years ago now, when I was a volunteer on the local heritage railway I spent some time working alongside a chap a few years younger than I who had been employed by Panther on the Kallista - his comment: don't touch one with a barge pole unless it has been rebuilt by an enthusiast, we threw them together with whatever parts were available! They were the "poor man's Lima" according to him.
They have their own attraction. Came across a number on a road run many years ago when I still had the +4 (Sue and I were on holiday in Dorset) - they all waved at the Morgan grin2

Pierre-Francois, welcome to TalkMorgan smile

Interesting Graham, it sounds like Pierre's will be a good purchase for anyone looking for a sorted RHD car.
I can't remember the last time I saw one anywhere.

There is a rather nice Gilbern Invader (although sadly it's bright Red) has appeared on the road parked up in Paignton this last 3 weeks, they had the Essex V6 in like my old GTE and were fairly handy in their day and a pleasant shape.

Hi Graham, Rich and the Gang,

Graham for your info I'm also F5BQP in addition to a Mog and Kallista owner ... ;-)

Rich yes the v6 Cologne 2.8 (carb then injection) was one of their engine, at the end of their story also the 2.9i .
There was also a 1.6L engine and for the US a 2.3L .

Best regards
pf

Excellent - there are several amateur radio operators on this forum!

I liked the V6 Rich, although I only owned one, in a Granada estate. Father had one years before me - his was 3.0 Essex, mine was one of the last carburettor Cologne engines.
Quite fancied a Kallista years ago and later a GTE - no space now! Dave W is the man for Gilbern info smile

Those Granada Estates with the V6 in sounded great, when Heather lived in Thetford the next door neighbour was an undertaker and he had one as his 24 hr pick up car and it sounded really nice. It often crossed my mind well at least the departed have a nice sound track to listen to on their final voyage.
