I am searching for 205 70 15 +8 Tires

On the Longstone Tyre website under Morgan +8 are two Avon Tires

CR6ZZ $378US
CR28 $262 US

I need good tires for Road use only. Can anybody help Me choose.
Shipping is very fair at about $100 for 4 tires to Seattle.

Both the tyres shown are road-legal track tyres and a bit extreme for the kind of use you describe. While "Tyre Rack" may not list Morgan in their manufacturers list it might be worth giving them a ring and they might be able to save you the shipping and customs charges. I am sure that some of our U.S. +8 owners will be able to tell you about the options that are available domestically.
I just checked and the Dunlop Sport Classic which has recently been released is available in your size. This would be more suitable for the type of use you envisage.

The CF6ZZ is a race car tyre , great grip , soft rubber so not great mileage. I don't know the CR28 but it is possibly similar.

If you like the look of Avon rubber , the recommended road tyre is the ZV7. I have not checked current availability in your size, but I am using the earlier version ZV5 in 205/60 x 15 and am very pleased with it on my +8.

I have Toyo Proxes CF2 on my 1980 +8 -280BHP and have done 30k miles on them in the last 5 years. A few sprints but mostly continental and USA long distance driving. They are fine. Both these and the Avons can be sourced for £50 per tyre in the UK. I will check with my supplier if they ship to the USA

1980 +8 Blue
And a few others

To close this thread I chose Goodyear Eagle Sports 195 65 15. Per recommendation of Lorne Goldman. It is hard to find reasonable tires in North America at a reasonable price. I have only driven these for a short distance. I will report how they perform in a month or so.
