I guess a good number of us will have seen this very thought- provoking programme already when it aired on Channel 4 but if not, then it can be seen at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00z8v18/Grand_Prix_The_Killer_Years/ I think the bit I found saddest and most moving, even after all this time, was David Purley's attempt to get Roger Williamson out of his car Ironically, only last week I was re-reading Chris Nixon's Mon Ami Mate so it really brought it home to me G

Haven't seen it, saw it advertised and didn't watch it.  Seen the footage of David Purley on YouTube, heart breaking

David Purley was a childhood hero of mine, I have his autograph (on a LEC Refrigeration complement slip!)

I watched this the other evening and you do wonder what made them continue. I suppose that all of those deaths did result in the development of safer road car, but the attitude of the team principle did seem to leave a lot to be desired.
