As this weekends weather was so poor I decided to try a wiper upgrade, I'm not keen on most of the alternatives that have been tried on TM as they are usually black and I wanted to stay chrome / stainless

I managed to source these which were pretty close in length & nicely made

Although very slightly longer, most in 'lost' in the inner sweep, mine just touched the 'screen top and needed a little trimming

The centre one worked great but the other two ended up needing an additional tweak to loose I tiny bit of outer sweep, so by drilling an additional hole the arm would push further in & the button would still lock

Overall pretty chuffed with the result, may even take them back off and mirror polish 'em

Well spotted Cooperman - I think there will be a set winging their way to Cheltenham.

I played around with a similar, but different, set of wipers and couldn't shorten them in a satisfactory way. These look a much better option.

If necessary it would be relatively easy to shorten the main rail and drill new holes to rivet the blade support closer to the centre. This would allow the blade to be cut shorter.

New rubbers could be fitted when necessary because they seem to use a standard type of rubber such as used by Bosch.

This is why we love TM...just as I was looking for new blades and would have gone down the Land Rover blades route.

Car Builder Solutions is a very useful catalogue to have and browse.

Thanks Cooperman.

Westfield offer a similar sprung blade in black. Although I have the plain Caterham ones, which work fine given stronger arm spring, these should fit at 204mm in length.
