Second version of "invisible" sidescreens successfully completed. This was slightly more complex as it has a second bend (horizontally so that the top of the sidescreen contacts the windscreen without the need for any foam to fill the gap), also has a snap-vent. This time I used 6mm polycarbonate which is slightly easier to bend but is rigid enough not to flap about at speed.
I was very happy with it and then SWMBO declared that she REALLY doesn't like it with the vent doh
MK3 next which will be the same as MK2.... but without the vent!

Ingenious stuff N22. May I ask what may seem like a dense question but why include the vent in the first place? Not wishing to appear rude or nowt but Shirley the point of the sidescreens is to reduce the gusts/wind (and I ain’t referring to the wind of the driver 😇). Nonetheless it does look an impressive piece of work sir!

Surely if you need ventilation above and beyond the noraml draughts you don't need the hood up!

The vent can be closed and would only be used when the roof is up allowing some fresh air in. It’s academic really as SWMBO has ruled that they shouldn’t have vents at all, hence the MK3 version to follow. I’m looking forward to the day it’s raining hard, we’ve got the roof up and she says that we need some more ventilation innocent

I started with a cardboard template using the original sidescreens and adapted it from there.

Steve this is a brilliant idea with simplicity and style. I know a couple of Morgan owners who will soon be cutting and bending polycarbonate.
