Brilliant Ian, it will be a very special homecoming, thanks it's been a pleasure marking her progress and I know there are a few of us on here that like their aviation.

G-IRTY is currently grounded with heavy Fog in Holland. Estimated Goodwood arrival now between 1pm and 1.30pm.

Sorry, no pictures from me. I left Mrs W. shopping in Chichester and arranged to meet back at 1.00 for lunch. I had a nice coffee in the Old Control Tower cafe and spent some time in the Goodwood shop but unfortunately couldn't wait around for the delayed arrival. I took a window seat in Chichester Carluccio's and kept my eyes on the sky but regrettably didn't spot it going over! Plenty of news cameras there so hopefully will see it on TV tonight.

A special moment of reflection, having G-IRTY back at her spiritual home in Holland (penultimate stop). MJ271 flew with the Royal Dutch Airforce after her service in WW2 (top image) and was then displayed here in a museum until The Silver Spitfire team purchased and restored her. Yes indeed, the weather was lovely (if a bit chilly) at Goodwood, a shame it wasn't so favourable in the Netherlands but that's how it goes. I understand the Spitfire is staying down here for a couple of weeks so I might get to see it before it goes.
