Hi I am Herve, I am french and happy to join this family of Morgan’s owners. I just bought an aero 8 year 2008 right hand drive. I need to adjust my driver seat higher , does some of you have a similar experience and how to fix that ? Regards Herve

- welcome to TM Herve I don't know if it is much help as I have a Series 1 Aero 8; this has no height adjustment, only forwards and back! Assuming your later Aero is the same, it is fairly easy to remove the seats (4 bolts to undo). The space is a little constricted when getting to said bolts, but it is doable. Once the seat is out ,it should be fairly simple to create e.g. a couple of wooden spacers and perhaps longer bolts, to raise the seat height. James

Welcome to the family.
There is no height adjustment in the seat. It will require some spacers and longer bolts. A good mechanic should be able to do this, just ensure you use strong bolts.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Hello Hervé
Welcome to the forum. Also live in France (SW) and owned a 2002 S1 Aero for 10 or so years. Is your's an S2 or S3?
Plenty of good Aero knowledge on this site though I've not heard of someone wanting to raise the seat. During my ownership I found most jobs that I tackled reasonable to do even if at times they were lengthy... In some cases limited space to work with spanners so having a good quality 1/4 inch drive socket set along with short ratchet spanners is very useful.
Enjoy your ownership.
Cheers
Philip

Hi Herve, Welcome to the forum and particularly the Aero group. In my opinion you have made an excellent choice of Morgan. We spend a good deal of our time in France (Alsace), also have an Aero 8 and throughly enjoy both the drives and reactions we receive. I believe raising the seat would not be difficult as the seat chassis is attached to a separate panel that is fixed to the floor. That should make it easy to install spacers. Hope this helps. I’m interested that you have a right hand drive Aero in France. Did you buy it already registered or have you had to register it yourself. I’m thinking of registering mine in France but concerned about having right hand drive approval with the French authorities. Appreciate your thoughts.

I would say that 2008 makes it a Series 3 ? Series 2 were a small batch around 2005 in most cases, it could have been hiding in a dealer but not for 3 years ?
