Well, if that's what they say in an email, at that price it's probably worth a try.

Didn't get out into the garage last night, but did check through my receipts file: a 123 dissie was fitted 3 years ago, together with a 'sports' coil.

your mean the very expensive 123 dissy and coil? that I was looking at made in Holland... the land of dykes?

So how do you find the 123 dizzy? Graham?
Its supposed to be the epitome of design and technical achievement....the bees knees in every respect.

Does it start first time every time, like a rover 90?

Don't know the Rover 90's starting habits Peter.
Does it start first time? When the engine earth isn't a touch loose, yes!!

I'm not sure it's their coil, just a sports one - non-ballasted.

No Skype I'm afraid Peter.

Yes the 123 works really well - have only a few thousand miles on it so far, but yes it 'does what it says on the tin'.
Unfortunately I don'tknow the price - I just have a long list of parts used during that repair (this included the larger gusset plates) and a total figure for parts (and a larger one for labour!).
Ever since the car has been really good - a mechanical makeover that was in need of doing at the time.

Those 123 items would end up costing about $600AU and that is a lot of mula for ignition in my mind.

I have just received the motorcraft for ford engines module and it was well packed and arrived in only 8 days from UK.
It says if one needs instructions to visit their website and look at the help page.
Other wise nothing else inside the package of bubble-wrap.

I have a problem straight away.
The base unit module comes without any screws to secure it to the baseplate. Hmmmmmm
It also has a very small transparent laminated blob of what looks like white grease! what do you think that is for?
Obviously not to lubricate the rotor cam, so for what?
I will persevere with the installation and let you know the outcome.

Any sizes yet for the chassis bracing Graham? or maybe a pic or 2.
Could you ask them what precautions they took with regard to welding so near fuel lines?

The white material is thermally conductive grease to make sure the module can transfer heat to the base plate. Smear it between the baseplate and the electronic module

Graham: found the help page at the top on right hand side. Very comprehensive with regard to electrical testing of the coil and what to do. A bit technical for lil Ole me, but I will print it out, laminate and take to the shed for reference.
Thats if I can now find my glasses, BTW found the keys but lost the glasses in the process!

An update on the UK purchased electronic ignition module from electronic module for ford engined Morgans
I tried to fit the new module to the original dizzy that came off the Morgan.
None of the holes lined up on the baseplate, so after fiddling about for the afternoon, I packed it all up and put it in the cupboard in the shed. total waste of time.....
I will stick with the points distributor, its working fine at the moment.

PS: found the glasses, very near to where I found the keys.
