Came across this on Pistonheads this morning.

A good write up and pictures, with the main criticism being the high seating position...someone on here postulated it might be set at that height to comply with regulations- I reckon they might be right as it seems odd that just about everyone who has driven one thinks the same.

A nice review. MMC should be happy with that.

Brilliant.

I hope they print it out on A3 paper and put it up on the wall in the factory with cake for everyone who has helped/built and supported it. That's a BIG win.

I've got to stop reading these reviews!

I've put off driving one...why?

I might want one.

swmbo will NOT buy into that idea.

As the ex owner of a V6S F type I agree with most all of what they said about the car. It is a damn good all round every day sports car - except for the seats in my case though they were better than the Plus 6 I sat in.

But I'm not sure that Plus 6 vs F type is a sensible comparison other than in sticker price. He isnt quite fair when he says the F might just as well be an XE - but there is an element of truth in the comment. less so than with a Boxter but true all the same. The Plus 6 is way more distinctive and less every day.. I never got in the F thinking "this is special"even if I often thought "what a fine looking car".

Yes if I was chosing a weekend only toy car I would chose the Plus 6 of the two. If I wanted something that I could use any time, like you might do with an M3 or a 911, then I would chose the F. If I wanted a long term keeper I would chose the Plus 6.

But for something really special and at about the same cost I would chose a used Ferrari, which is what I have done.
