Just tried Amsoil SAE 190 gearoil with LIQUI MOLY GEAR OIL ADDITIVE MoS2 added. Definite improvement over Miller's 140 with the same additive. especially in the 50 to 70 mph range. I spent a few hours yesterday soundproofing the aluminium rear bulhead with Silent Coat Extra 4mm.
This has made much more of an improvement in bevel box noise than either Millers 140 or Redline 250.
Do you recommend that over Dynamat? I don't think there is much difference, Dynamat is made in the USA and Silent Coat is made in the UK. I can confirm that the Silent Coat is easy enough to fit and seems to work well at reducing the transmission noises. I managed to squeeze 10mm sheet in Yep, I did the base and top of the section over the propshaft. I didn't do the gearleaver/handbrake cover, nor the side panels as Planenut has done but even so it's quite an improvement.

Do you recommend that over Dynamat? I've not used Dynamat so couldn't comment. I saw a review of Silent Coat on another forum and it seemed a reasonable price for the 4mm sheet. Easy to cut (I used a cheap pair of tin snips and a stanley knife) and straightforward to apply. One thing I didn't want was anything too thick as I need evey bit of seat space.

I just got an email from Emil at MorganCustom.net and he had developed a remote fill kit for the Bevel Box, which increases the oil capacity to 28oz. He should publish test results and temperature readings soon ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2019/08/26/IMG_0482.jpg)

Did you get the temperature gauge with it? I would do so to let you know what’s really going on in there.

Just out of interest
My original bevel box on my 2012 (April) did not have the side air vent.
There was a vent on the top of the box with a plastic tube that was routed up near the headrests and then down to the bottom of the wood frame.
So it essentially dripped slippery stuff near the back wheel!
We cut pipe short and fed into an old plastic bottle as a catcher. Surprising how much was collected!
From memory somewhere twixt 50 and 60 mis over a few months.
Next bevel box had the side air vent

Dynamat is a good winter project and one on my list for sure. The noise is deafening from the bevel box.
