Mine came with the Vintage latches but you can see where the dzus fittings were to be located and they are in different locations, or maybe I am lookig at the wrong plugs in the cowl.

Vintage latches look great and are located at a different points to the dzus fasteners meaning you can have both.

Why would you need both?

If they’re fitted/installed but not jig positioned & drilled they may jump open as the position of the bonnet holding lug is absolutely vital to providing the correct hook tension. The chassis and hook when driving twist & move slightly differently to the bonnet hence the more security & attachment the better.

Factory fitted is the way to go but belt n braces for me is better - I don’t loose that much time with the dzus either - we used them on Navy aircraft too.

Yes, if the vintage latches are not fitted properly they not only will allow the bonnet to wander about on the cowl. I have factory installed latches and i feel one of them is a bit off and in the first 1k miles the rubber bumper part broke off and i had to replace the latch.

Thanks for the information. Think I’ll just add the springs on the fasteners and call it good.

I bet they are more secures and for sure less likely for curious fingers to manipulate.

The latches are standard Holden parts

Morgan dealers have the dimensions/locations for the fitment
