Is the 3m product a clear tapes as well?

The stickon felt might make for easier engagement of the vintage latches on the bonnet since felt is probably not as thick as the rubber pads.

I will get some contact adhesive or some such thing. I wish I knew what MMC used so I could avoid it.

Thanks guys.

Clothes pegs of the correct width can be used to hold the Dzus fasteners out whilst refitting the cowl cost is pennies.

This one fail with only 670 miles on the odometer and only a couple of months of ownership. My dealer went out of business so HOW DO I GET MORGAN TO SEND ME A NEW ONE?

It was the only one of the 4 that left a small rubber rub mark on the bonnet that I was writing off as frame flex causing the bonnet to shift and rub on the spot, like the shifting is always noticed on the plastic bumpers under the front edge of the bonnet.

Hi Stephen, I would identify another USA dealer that you’d like to do business with, e-mail them your details and photos of the failure. Ask them to order a new catch under warranty and when they receive it, mail it to you. (I assume you’re happy to change it yourself). The photos should be enough evidence without you having to see a dealer. I’d also copy in MMC.
Good luck.

Revolutions my dealer has a Dove Grey demonstrator with the "vintage bonnet " catches. The cowl does not fit well with a too large gap at the rear in my opinion.

I seriously doubt that the bonnet fitment you describe has anything to do with the latches, but more to the manufacture of the bonnet itself in relationship to the body.

Anyone know if a new set of hooks could be fitting in the same spot as the fasteners?
