Dan, try Miscellany page 58 Not everyone is a member of the MSCC so, as suggested in this and another thread, it is impossible to view an add or article in Miscellany. It would be helpful if a photo of the advertisement, or relevant details, were published on the forum.

Dan, try Miscellany page 58 If you email biminis4morgans@gmail.com they can probably send you some pictures. Their advert in Miscellany says "fits 2 seater 1970-1997" so it may not fit your '98 Plus 8 Dan. By the way they're £250 plus P&P.

It is hard to make Bimini Top to fit all Morgans. I have them built by a Marine Canvas Shop. My original Bimini Top was made using Sunbrella cloth. The cloth was not cut. Just folded where needed and sewed. I see tops made that are way more complicated than the ones I have built. Unnecessarily complicated. I use heavy shock cord, doubled to hold down the back. They need to be strong and tight so that the Bimini does not bang in with wind. Sunbrella chafes. It must be patched and/or replaced when worn. I use white sunbrella. I want it to reflect the Sun and keep cool. Wash it in Your washing machine and let it air dry. I also have My Tonneau covers made of Sunbrella using a plastic zipper in the middle. The first one is a bit expensive because it must be designed and then made. But for the old top for a pattern the cost is less. Remember all those fasteners and the tools to fit them are expensive. I own My own Canvas fasteners and tools so I do this myself. However to insure it fits properly I would suggest having the Craftsmen/women do the job

A Bimini or half hood as used on Caterhams et al is a great idea, but might be difficult to design for the later trads. without separate hood sticks. Anyone done anything on one of these - apart from using a rollover bar of course.

On MOA VII 2019 I noticed a KIWI Roadster with the back hoop that latches down, up, providing needed air circulation. Don't know how it was rigged to keep the back hoop up but seemed a good way to go at least with a Roadster.

I don't like this design because by using cloth to hold the back down it does not do the job well. I cut this cloth off at the back bow and use heavy shock cord to keep it tight. Also that cloth hanging down in back blocks a bit of air. I would also use the off center Levers to also tighten the Bimini. The Bimini must be "drum" tight or it will blow in the wind. Ask Me How I Know.

Nice looking but still doesn't provide an answer to how to fit a bimini to an "Easy-up" car, with no poppers on the screen.
