It's truly staggering how fast technological development is moving. Li-Ion / Graphite batteries now are offering the prospect of 20 year / 1 miilion miles lifetimes.

So my petrol car doesn't look so bad now.
Reading that article it sort of reminded me of the obesity crisis when we all started eating low fat food but got fatter because of the extra sugar and other additives in it. I.E. by avoiding the current nasty we get something worse from additional stuff put into the solution.

I.E. by avoiding the current nasty we get something worse from additional stuff put into the solution. It's a similar situation with Glyphosphate for weedkilling. We used to use Ammonium Sulphamate which degraded in about six to eight weeks.
