Today I am sitting outside my cottage in Styria with wonderful weather and listen to the autumn insect heartbeat. Did a wonderful roadbike tour and would like to continue with the Morgan.
Unfortunately it is left at home because the 400km commute in light rain overnight was much more comfortable in the LED beaming tin top.
On the highways I see more and more toys being trailered - and I don`t like the idea... but:
Just 10 min ago I caught myself looking for trailer prices ...
Has anyone got similar experiences?

I'm sorry to confirm similar ideas.
I hate long distance highway drives on motorcycles or with the Moggy. While in the past I used transport by train and ferry to get closer to interesting places, the car transport options by train to Italy are getting smaller from season to season. My usual summer trips take about 3-4000 km, so another 1000 km just to get started and 1000 km to get home in addition to the fun tour is something I wouldn't enjoy in a Morgan. As long as rail transport from Vienna to Livorno is an option, no trailer is needed, it is my plan B.

If trailering the Morgan to your holiday destination increases your enjoyment of the holiday once you arrive that is the only thing that matters I would say We don't have that problem as my good lady does not share any of my enthusiasm for Morganing but is pleased it brings me pleasure.

Your feelings sound a bit like mine as I explained in the "Enjoy driving your toy?" thread, though you surprise me. I thought you had much emptier roads than the UK and some of them without speed limits.
But certainly I do find that the toy car simply isnt for going long motorway distances in, and more than I would think of riding my motorbike. Neither of them are enjoyable on the motorway or in congested cities. Is a tailer an answer - no not really. That just makes the motorway journey even worse, you have to find somewhere to store it between use, you need a larger car to pull it etc.
Coming to the conclusion that the only enjoyable for of transport is a boat. No speed limits. |No police. Few rules other than the basic common sense ones. Cheap insurance. Sod all taffic. The only issue with boats is parking them.
