Surprised how quiet the forum is regarding the Rugby World Cup? Some great games so far and also surprises especially for Japan beating Ireland.

Well played Wales. We were our own worst enemy and you were the better side.

Ireland havent been what they were for a year or more now. And given the results in the southern hemisphere we could even have an England vs All blacks fnal. You never know.

Where in Monmoutshire are you? I'm in Usk. There;s an older Plus 8 here too.

I think Japan will cause a few more shocks yet.

Beat South Africa in 2015, gave England a hell of a fright last year and were worthy of their defeat of Ireland.

They are not the biggest Rugby players in the world, but technically they are excellent in their passing and handling skills.

It is great to see a tier 2 nation making a big impact.

So Wales is better at thugby than Australia. I am surprised to hear that Japan is into thugby, but then I don't follow it.

Some exceptional skills shown by Japan, and they lived up to the ‘size isn’t everything’ saying magnificently. Also fantastic fitness.
Wales had a great first half, and Australia dominated the second. Good to see Wales hold on - over much of the last ten years they have given games away in the last few minutes.
Not sure I agree with the ‘thugby’ description, although Hooper’s late shoulder charge on Biggar was perhaps a little ungentlemanly. : oops

Me neither, (regarding the ‘thugby’ description) but I am really enjoying watching and somewhat jealous of friends who are currently in Japan.
My rugby skills never progressed beyond playing scrum-half for my school’s old boys 3rd 15, but I’ve always really enjoyed the game and the friends I’ve made, as a result.
