Steve

Interesting point made about the ECU flash I also have just the cat back sports exhaust.

It would be nice for a later update as I thought the manifold and cat had to be replaced for full effect.
DaveW had to lower the engine plus body modifications to fit the manifold which seems a lot of work if its not necessary.

Is it bad form to ask how much the ECU work cost?

As I happened to be looking at paperwork today, it might be of interest that Williams charged £332.50 plus VAT for the ECU work on my Plus 4.

A history lesson wink

The Official Talk Morgan Sausage Roll Standard (or OTMSRS),
compares all sausage rolls with the British Standard sausage roll, as served in the cafeteria at the Haynes Motor Museum!
Truly a culinary masterpiece and if you are fortunate, one of the Inner Circle might even post a photograph!

All other sausage rolls, including the excellent ones served at MMC, are compared to this standard! wink

Well to bring it back just slightly onto topic.. one thing that was noteworthy (other than the sausage rolls) was the Plus 6 activity. The site seems almost completely dedicated to its production, they were everywhere in various stages of build.

Seeing the new chassis and half built 6's next to the trads brought it home to me just how antiquated the Plus 4's look by comparison. Steel chassis, floorboards and cart spring suspension rubbing shoulders with modern bonded alloy chassis, link suspension and drivetrains that frankly looked very complex and well beyond the capability of most owner drivers to fix, assuming they may need it of course.

The 6 is no doubt a cracking car in so many respects but its not for me. Give me the simplicity of the trad build with all its shortfalls any day but I can't help think that its days are numbered. It looked so out of place next to the 6's and I suspect they won't be able to live in harmony, too many opposing techniques and materials for the future of MMC I reckon.

Only time will tell but I'm glad I bought my trad while I could.

I completely agree Steve. Whatever direction InvestIndustrial are going to take MMC, and I wish them all the very best, I don't think it's going to include trad cars for trad owners for much longer.

I'm very glad I have my trad, and I'm even gladder it's an older model so I can dick about with it to my heart's content. I occasionally think about getting a newer model (usually whenever I see lovely smart new cars like yours) but I very quickly dismiss the idea when I start thinking about the implications of not being able to tear the thing apart should I feel the urge.
