Another vote for "menzerna" products - very good quality and I guess better value pound for pound. The fine polishing grades allow the degree of cut to be varied according to need and the sealer is superb - offering lovely beading.

If you prefer a traditional "wax" without any cutting I have found "Collinite" to be superb .

I’ve only used a ‘cheap’ Detailer as a lubricant for claying

My main go to Detailer which I use almost as a waterless wash after a ride out is Meguairs Ultimate Quik Detailer which is hydrophobic and I think it’s fab

When I was a young lad, I was hydrophobic, I hated baths grin2

I think most Morganeers including me are slightly hydrophobic

The difference between any of the brands is not in proportion to the cost. The bigger variation is in ease of use and smell. There's little difference to see between glass cleaner and quick detailer. Try both on glass, or side screens.

I prefer Meguiars products just on overall ease of use, smell, and result, but I still use all the others on my shelf.

I've had some Swissvax on the shelf for nearly two years. I ought to try it out.

I once polished and waxed every panel on my Golf with a different brand.........the only difference was the size of the water beading.

But the size of water beading could be an indicator how good the quality of the product is. Better water beading in the sense of big pearls means better protection or longer lasting one if I am not wrong.

That’s certainly how I understand it

The larger the pearl the better the wax protection

I've always used Autoglym but don't like the white finish it leaves on black plastic trim, anyone found a good polish that doesn't leave the white residue??

Have you used their Bumper and Trim Gel? I find that works really well, even on my very faded 20yr Corsa.

Autoglyms Bumper Care is superb on black or grey plastic

Haven’t used it for a long time as I don’t have any unlaquered black plastic bits on either of my cars but I remember the first time I used it on a black bumper years ago when I was first recommended it, I thought it was magic

It’s a thick silicone gel but seems to make plastic look new
