My screen is 10 years old, and fine (I think).

They are.

When I noticed my Sport screen elements breaking down I mentioned it on here and I think it was Arwyn that told me they are not included in the MOT.

The problem isn't as "rare" as the service department think then. Going to Morgan this morning to sere them so will update later.

My '97 +4 was OK.
The little Ford Fusion I traded in a couple of years ago had most of the screen elements failed. Annoying really as that was one of the reasons for buying it (but it had screen vents too so not a major problem).

Well sometimes you just have to admit you are wrong. I have had windscreens replaced before that were problematic but on this occasion the only problem was that some lines just warm up a little slower than others. Todays conditions were dry so breathing on the screen was required and sure enough it did clear and it demonstrated the point. On wetter days it will take longer and I need to be more patient. Simple as that.

None of my three screens have had 100% clearance. And all have been slow to clear. On Monday in Malvern it was a damp dank morning and the whole car filled with condensation as we set off. Including the outside of the instruments......

This screen cleared in five minutes or so, after a wipe and with the blower on.

Mine is patchy and has been for years especially in front of the driver - I probably should restrain from breathing in cold weather- a microfibre or bar towel does the trick for demisting. Just passed MOT with no problem.

Mine's always worked really well (2015 Plus4). I assumed they all did.
