Try telling that to the "responsible adults" who are supposedly looking after the kids. I once had a go at a kid for standing on the running board of a friend's Morgan. The response from the "responsible adult" standing right next to the car was that he was only a kid. I remind him of his responsibilities as the kids parent - needless to say we had a free & frank exchange of views!!

I hate the "he/she is just a kid" response- particularly when the little beggars are sat behind you in an aircraft. My standard response is to very very politely say "He/she is not just a kid. He/she is YOUR kid and I don't want to share him/her. Please get him/her under control".. Usually works but some parents are as feral as their kids. They sit they with earphones in and phone/ipad on not giving a XXXX what their monster is doing.

If you pull out one of the rubber inserts you could be quite shocked to find just how much corrosion has started to attack the fixing bolts

I completely stripped mine & replaced with stainless fixings & tried to assemble 'wet' with everything doused in Waxoil, problem is the alloy extrusions trap water against your paintwork & then the rubbers trap water in the channel

Dave W, did a Miscellany write up on this a few years ago & the photos were of my Mog

Thanks all. That settles it for me - no tread rubbers or wing mounted sidelights.

thumbs although expensive I would go for PP Film, the 'subbies' who fit for the factory do a very good job (even did my headlamp lenses)
