Thanks all. That settles it for me - no tread rubbers or wing mounted sidelights.  although expensive I would go for PP Film, the 'subbies' who fit for the factory do a very good job (even did my headlamp lenses) Never thought of doing the headlamps, good idea that can be my next job 👍

It scuffs easily. I had it replaced once, they need doing again. I though about I'm tempted to leave it off and use lots of polish.

It looks awful when scuffed and I think it would be easier to treat the wing paintwork. Defendall is a good option for the front wings where it protects from paint chips.

Mine has the protection film all over the leading surfaces - and looks fine. Except for the running boards, which, despite this careful owner, have scuffs that cannot be removed. I am pondering removing or replacing - I'm not sure if the running board PP films can be purchased without a whole 'kit'.

I haven't had occasion to try it but when I bought my Morgan from Melvyn Rutter he told me Brasso removes scuffs and scratches from the PPF.

I might try some brasso - I heard it can remove scratches from watch glass too...

No scuffs on my running boards yet after 9000 miles. Was advised to get PPF elsewhere but shortly after received a small chip in front of wing, since touched up. Just don't rub too hard or it gets hot and marks even more. Given that it's there to protect, I don't get too uptight about marks although my Plus 4 doesn't have any scuffs yet. My Roadster doesn't have any protection, and after 14 years, no significant scuffs on the running boards. Obviously we are not all pensioner gymnasts, but you should try to get in and out as if there's no protection. My mother adopted the practice of dragging her feet over the door threshold on the tin top until I fired a few choice words...……...

Mine is 5 years old and has no protection on the wings. It did have a couple of chips and a light scratch but the scratch polished out with g3 compound and the chip is undetectable now done with a Chipex touch up set. If I was oerdering a new Morgan I probably would have it as the current one with no protection. It looks better and costs less.
