As Dab says, it's a special motorsport clutch manufactured by a company called TTV Racing Components but they will not provide any information or parts. Thanks for the info about CG Motorsport Clutches, that could be handy! Only recently found out about TTV from Phil Bleazey.

Great timing as I've booked mine in for new compensator rubbers and was planning on a new clutch as well.

I've emailed Mick at CG Motorsport and got an almost instant reply with costs to

Rebuild and load /lift test clutch cover
Reline organic drive plate
Surface grind flywheel


Or they can supply a brand new clutch kit approx. 20% cheaper than MMC.

Your first item Chris, to "load/lift and test" the clutch - is that a complete clutch install, i.e. covers engine out and replacement costs ?
Can you make these costs public, please?

No, this is sending them the clutch unit - the removal and replacement is separate.

Thanks for the info Chris. Looks like the parts to have on hand kit just got larger.

I wouldn't worry about having a clutch on hand as you'll need to be taking the engine out to get at it.

Mine's lasted 30,000 miles and I'll be getting it refurbished as a precaution rather than a necessity.

If you heard what to me sounds like clutch chatter you might think a preemptive strike not all that insane. The distance and time through Customs Import and holiday interruption would all push me toward the shelf thought.

Well that was worth an off chance call yesterday.

In the good old days of clutch refurbs, the Lift & Load test was to check that the diaphragm spring & 'fingers' in the clutch cover were functioning correctly under load
