Hi,
I would like to remove the spare wheel from my Plus 4 from time to time to save weight and am searching for some kind of alloy panel with which to cover the hole. Any ideas anyone?

You could order a flat aluminium plate cut exactly to size on line, but I think the wheel bracket gets in the way.

Edged with neoprene with some ingenuity it could be made to fit...….

Or in plastic like my spare wheel filler section.

The mmc one is very smart with lots of louvers and a 3rd break light but I guess that is not what you are looking for...

It would but the Factory can supply a low level spare wheel bracket.

Old-fashioned bin lid - I think it would look quite something - only drawback is that you may find your rear end full of rubbish. To really finish off the effect you could stencil "No Hot Ashes" on.
Seriously - agree with Dave - but don`t forget the neoprene.
