Administrators said: Kamkorp Autokraft, part of the Frazer-Nash group, has announced that it has acquired the assets and goodwill of Bristol Cars, the luxury car manufacturer, from its administrators. This acquisition will re-establish the connection between Bristol Cars and Frazer-Nash which dates back to Frazer-Nash's close involvement in the foundation of Bristol Cars 65 years ago.
William Chia, the group's Director of Operations, said: "Bristol Cars is a British institution and an important part of our national motoring heritage. Over the next few months we will start to reveal the details of our plans to combine Bristol Cars' tradition and iconic marque with Frazer-Nash's pioneering technology to showcase our cutting-edge electric and range-extended powertrains.
British engineers are globally recognised for their inventions and the quality of their innovation – and these attributes are inherent in all our systems and products. Mindful of Bristol Cars' rich heritage and our responsibility as custodians of the brand, we are certain that our technology will blend seamlessly and successfully with the Bristol Cars tradition of engineering integrity.
Owners and enthusiasts of the cars should be assured that, even though these are early days in our tenure of the brand, we are committed to providing them and their cars with the highest levels of quality, technology and service".
Cheers
BtG

Well done Boshers, you beat me to it! Great news, at least for me and the many Bristol fans, and it seems it is in good hands too - LINKY to Frazer-Nash Namir It seems that Bristol are in good hands, and their acquisition by the Frazer Nash Group is an interesting development since Bristol cars themselves grew from a BMW prototype, Frazer Nash were importers of BMW cars in the 1930's and used Bristol engines in their cars in the 1950's - what goes around comes around! So Kamcorp Autokaft now own Bristol, they in turn are part of the Frazer-Nash Group, who were taken over by the DML Group, who were in turn acquired by the Babcock International Group. A great British institution remains British... We await further news with much interest!

Unlike you, I hate air travel. I'm currently writing my next book: " Great Airport Departure Lounges I Have Not Known" Matter of fact, I think we should start a thread on this. Mine to start: Schipol. Crap food, miserable people behind desks and lose your luggage at the drop of a hat! G

Flying's a necessary evil for me G, the only benefit is air miles! Don't start me on airports, especially 'Thiefrow' As for BA, I've crossed them off my list and Virgin only have their limo service and dedicated check-in to stop them descending to the same mediocrity, and some people think flying is glamorous. Best B
