Memorable run today along the Teign Valley from Chudleigh through to Moretonhampstead via Steps Bridge and then on to North Bovey. Dropped in to the Ring of Bells for a snack. Wandered in to the little church. Returning the same way back down across Steps Bridge, but stopped off for lunch at the Nobody Inn, Doddiscomleigh before heading home through Chudleigh once more. The autumn colours along this tree lined route are quite stunning at present, and if any are able to take the route in the next couple of weeks I guarantee it will not disappoint. I hope to repeat the run in the next week or so, armed with dash-cam and camera to show all. Dare I say its worth a journey - even if that should take you half a day to reach here.

Another super day out down to Billingshurst for coffee where the Morgan was much admired by the ladies in the Dry Cleaners who’s ambition is to have a ride in a Bentley, any Bentley! Came back through Gatwick, Reigate and on to join an ex colleague for lunch in Brockham. Lovely sunny outing punctuated by the engine warning light coming on and losing the offside lights, both wing and main, I’m having the full Morgan experience.

An horrendous journey full of rain and spray down to the NEC. What should have been 2 1/2 hours took 5 hours. Found some interesting leaks, even got a wet left leg! And some heating elements have gone in the windscreen right in front of the driver, so that’s a warranty claim to sort out.
Some lanes on the M1 closed due to standing water, which kind of gives an idea of how poor the weather in Sheffield/Derbyshire area was
But I still loved it, it just would have been more pleasant without the rain and spray - especially off the artics!

I'm glad you made it through it. Probably all the fat has been washed out of the front axle. I would quickly press new grease into the king pins.

No and neither did anyone else for soggy drive to FolkMog lunch in Norwich, despite being well attended. Tim and Echo turned up in lovely ex embassy "Beirut taxi" Merc saloon from 1973. wouldn't allow Lenny the Land Rover despite my offer to clean the seats, so it had to be the Mini

Drove the car back from the garage after they fitted a new exhaust flange gasket. It is now much quieter and I suspect it has been going for a while.

Only a few yards today - from the garage to the front of the house, and back to the garage. Spent some time sorting out the storage for some hay arriving on Sunday!
Yesterday, I did drive about 30 miles, and stopped at one of the usual garage/shops not far from Lampeter. One of the ladies thought that Morgans are made in Wales, so I put her right on that one... In contrast, the other lady behind the till said her dad has a Morgan which he keeps in a shipping container, but he tends to drive one of the early-model MR2s during the winter.
Hopefully will get out for a drive on Sunday, as tomorrow doesn't look too good!

Yes I loaded up the Morgan with a small antique hexagonal side table and hawked it around a couple of charity shops. It is a sobering moment when even they say “sorry love we cant move that sort of thing”. I returned with it and stowed it back in the garage. Then off to Halfords to seek out lights and inspiration - I know, wrong destination for the latter. Then a loop around Epsom, cold with the air loaded with moisture I retreated back to my lair for a hot drink and a think about new headlamp units. I like driving the Morgan and have been out at night to discover that the standard headlamps are barely OK. I’ve started my campaign to improve the lighting to the highest standards I can achieve legally.

Great run down to the beach at Felixstowe to test out the new exhaust gasket ahead of the run to Haynes next week.
