Tanks full or not, the fact that the front of the car weights much more so it "dives" even with someone driving it and fuel in the tanks (so pushing the balance point to the rear) really shows how close to the front the balance point is...
According to the Experience of a couple of colleagues here, the weight is 2/3 to the Front 1/3 to the rear, so the balance point is more or less 1/3 close to the Front wheels and 2/3 away from the rear one.
This said, you better never tow your M3W on a trailer with the M3W looking backwards! Or as the video shows.... you can be really scared!

Diving under braking is also a function of suspension geometry, not just weight transfer. Most road vehicles have some amount of anti dive designed in, but no idea how much they may have intended with the M3W.

And I guess the M3W has no specific design to avoid this phenomenon… My comment was a reply of Skullmog's one saying he dived after a hump, not just braking. I should have quoted him (I understood he really flied!)

When I used to run a MK1 Elise to stop it falling off the 2 post lift a bag of sand had to be hung off the front towing eye to act as a counter balance.

FlatCapRacing, you must have G56 carbon fiber mudguards?
Thanks for the weights.

Does the carbon mudguards makes any difference in handling or comfort ? A double benefit - they lighten your car and wallet at the same time
