Cheers Gordon ..... both seats done (to Mrs relief) .... yep, in spite of the hold-up caused by the painting job slipping back to become a casualty of the winter weather, I still intend to have it mobile by summer.

Top marks for the oil cap, the GB plate and seats are also very good.
Cheers

Had a period of weather-induced lethargy, so not that much progress (not strictly true as Mrs Image now has a nifty plumbed-in watering system in the Polycrub that I built earlier ... she can plug in a short hose and use a hand-sprayer wherever she wants around the thing .... unfortunately, relieving her of the burden of a watering can involved me in wrestling with a cement mixer to lay a slab, build some blockwork, install a raised 1000 litre IBC tank, underground piping and wiring and plumbing in the outlets .... fortunately as well as water it also sprays Domestic Harmony! ..... so worth the time)

On the car ... have the body tub panels and scuttle stripped, rust cut out and patched and test fitted to the frame with about 120 little stainless countersunk screws .... will need a bit of tapping with the body-hammer and a small amount of filling here and there to address the odd bits of welding distortion etc but well on the way to spraying (and in spite of a week of daily snow, the weather shows signs of co-operating)

Messing with some more small bits and pieces I worked out that the windscreen brackets I thought were some sort of monkey-metal were in fact silver-sprayed cast brass .... always liked the brass bits on Ewn's blue anniversary edition so couldn't resist feeding them to the polishing mop .... I'll see how I like them when they're on the car (can always respray them silver I suppose πŸ™‚

Good to see some progress Keith, I find if I have a period where I can't get going with a project for any reason the interest wanes. Hopefully some spring weather at last Will help you get the paintwork done. Seeing something completed always inspires.πŸ‘

Looking good K. As the weather warms I suspect the impetus to get back into it big time, will no doubt grow exponentially.. thumbs
