good to know, I'd ordered the seals , when arrived I will unmount the Bevel Box, replace the seal and check the oil level.

What I'm wondering - the whole drive train including the gearbox is mounted in rubber bearings - so it is moving while running. The BV is fixed to the frame and it seems to me that the propeller shaft is not variabel in length, isn't that a problem ?

You’d know very quickly if you had bump steer. A few pot-holes and the car would snatch away from it’s steered direction. As Planenut has said from your photos it looks like your cars already been modded with what the Morgan called the comfort kit. Something I haven’t needed with my chassis, but probably could have done with on the previous.

of course not ;-) - that was only a testdrive to locate the different noise reasons ...
