Hi,

My name is Gustaf and I have just had the fantastic pleasure of ordering my very own 4/4 Sport. Sports green with saddle brown interior, complete with side exit sports exhaust, air filter and luggage rack. It will join me and my fiancé in Stockholm during the first week of July and I cannot wait.

Being 29 years old I will according to existing members halve the average age of the Swedish Morgan club (MOG)...

I have big plans for me and the car - touring the south of Sweden and as well as taking part of some track days in it.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences and of course leaning on the lessons learned by all the knowledgeable owners and enthusiasts on this forum!

Best regards,
/Gustaf

Welcome! Is the average age of Morgan owners really that high? I'm also waiting for my Morgan to arrive. It's a sore one in the gorgeous weather we're currently having!

Hi,

Not sure about the age thing, doesn't really matter to me though. If that is the case it just lets me know that people who have been around longer myself have made the same decision.

I hear what you are saying about the weather. The winter was way long here in Sweden (longer than normal that is) but know it is perfect Morgan weather.

Regards,
/Gustaf

Welcome Gustaf. I'm really enjoying my 4/4 Sport...had it a month now and about to go up to Scotland in it for a weeks touring.

I'm intrigued by the side exit sports exhaust and air filter...not seen those on an options list. Photos will be requested once you get the car!

Hi,

My quest for a perfect spec Morgan started out with by looking the 4/4 Competition. Speaking to my dealer (Morgan-Nordic) they mentioned that this might be a bit much for something that would see regular road use rather than track use - mostly referring to the choice of tires and brake pads which are a bit aggressive for the road since they normally do not get up to sufficient operating temperatures.

They adviced me into looking into some more basic mods to start with and then updating the car as a go along (and funds permit). I therefore ordered the car with the sports exhaust, air filter as well as a short-ratio gear box.

I did get the chance to listen to the exhaust which sounded great. The attached picture is of a car they currently have for sale which has it mounted.

I'll be sure to post more findings when I get the car!

Hello Gustaf L,
You have made a fine choice ! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy my 'Sport'.

I'm flying over to Stockholm on Tuesday en-route to Hudiksvall for a business meeting. I will give you a wave from the sky, before I land.
Cheers,
NM smile
