Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone had some good underbody shots of the best/safest jacking points. I am about to invest in a trolley jack and possibly a jacking beam. (unfortunately i do not have Dave W's DIY skills to build my own). I am also struggling to find a jack and beam which would fit under what i think are the best jacking points. Any tips? Thanks TC

The rear is easy because it's the rearmost crossmember. and for two years I used a thick plank with my old jack.
The front can be jacked anywhere under the bottom tube, but the main thing to watch is that the tube doesn't slip off the jack pad.

Hi Dave. Most of the conventional/commercially available jacking beams from Draper or Sealey have flat pads which I may be able to secure with velcro staps for safety. However I'm not sure that the trolley jack with the beam in place would fit under. I was thinking I could perhaps drive the car onto scaffold planks to give the extra clearance!!!!!

I have just this afternoon purchased a jacking trolley from ebay with a very low clearance of 80mm. My intention is to only really use it in conjunction with stands http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330510400310&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT for greasing the king pin/race bearing every 1000--1500 miles
