I have a Friend that ordered a 2019 +4 Roadster U.S. Kit. It comes with a 13" Steering Wheel. The smallest I have used is a 15" wheel. Looks to Me that 13" is too small. What say TM?

I used a 13" on my 4/4 for a while and found it a bit heavy, so I switched to a 14" that is absolutely perfect for me. That's with 165 section tyres and a steering box.

14" is the normal replacement size. It allows easier access and egress without making the steering too heavy.

Being a car from 2019, it might have power steering, in which case 13" should be ok. I have a friend who recently installed PS in his +8, and also a smaller than usual steering wheel, looks as it is 13". He is perfectly happy with this. If no PS, I would not go below 14" - much too heavy.

I ordered a 15" Moto Lita wheel for my 2008 Plus 4 Four-Seater. It makes the steering very light, but I have to stay slim to get in and out of the car. As a side-effect the power-to-weight ratio has increased, and at the age of 56 I was able to finish my first marathon.

13" on mine - bit more space and no issues with steering. Saying that, i used to run a S2A Land Rover with rather large tyres, on a 14" steering wheel so it may be said I have reasonable 'upper body strength'

I have a 13 inch on my 3.9 plus 8, no problem! Slightly heavy to park maybe but you get used to it.

My november 2018 +4 comes without powersteering and with 14" MotoLita.

With my 175cm lengh I "rubbed" between the seat and body (both bodies). After a short time the seatleather looked scratched and demaged. To reduce the rubbing I changed over to a 13" MotoLita.

The summary:
-rubbing reduced
-better steering on small twisty roads (more direct)
-a low speed (parking) a little bit more heavy, doesn't matter - no, I'm not superman or Mr. Schwarzenegger
-better sight on the rev counter
-a little bit more legroom for enter/leaving
The bad things, and that's what I didn't think about:
Less sight on the gauges in the drivers front. Fuel and wate temperature
Some (interessting) warninglights in front of the driver.

So in my eyes for the pure driving the difference isn't so great, the better steering on twisty roads is the point.
But missing some informations about the cars health is the thing of misslike.

If 14" is what one wants for it's steering properties, but feels that it leaves too little room between the rim and the seats, Moto-Lita has an excentric 14" steering wheel, called "Mark 3 Offset". Should also give a good view of the instruments in front of the driver.
