I am sad to report that I am currently unable to avoid listening to a really boring TV programme about Royal weddings. It's unbelievable! People sleep outside on the pavements to get a spot to watch them go past. 700 million watched the last one world wide. The pomp and ceremony is ridiculous. Some camp guy keeps talking about Diana's dress as though it wasn't identical to every other bloody wedding dress. I'd like to know if anyone on TM actually give a hoot about it? I reckon Morgan drivers will take more pride in being British than the average Joe, but despite the fact that I actually have sympathy for the Royals I could not care less about a wedding one of them are having. Why the hysteria?

Guess it is as with any other wedding; it only happens once, or is supposed to happen only once. And then if it's a future monarch, well, I guess some are interested just to be able to say: yes, I remember, I was there etc.

I know it's terrible when the TM moderators get together.  Check on pistonheads I know my local area is planning a run out for the day, general hope is no traffic And no in car TV

I was a little disappointed at not getting an invitation to this one as I did get one to Charles & Diana's. Well me and 5000 other Police Constables, but I did have a great day and will always remember it. It was a shame that I was also invited to her funeral.

If the real truth was known, William and future spouse would probably prefer to have a quiet wedding at Hammersmith registry office with just a few million personal friends?

It's the sheep mentality - soaps, celebrity stuff, x factor etc - all rubbish but all 'popular'.
I and MrsW intend to be out in the Mog early doors - same reason as above. Expect no traffic etc. Let's hope the weather is decent. Can't decide yet whether to do N Yorks moors & Whitby, Yorkshire Dales. or Derbyshire................

I hope you are right and the roads are nice and clear rather than usual BH mayhem. If you really want to "catch up" on what has happened it may be repeated on TV or get a few column inches in the papers.

Well, I was going to head for Severn Valley Railway or Crich Tramway or the Ecclesbourne Railway, or maybe even Slimbridge... But Madame has just invited some of our frineds around for part of the afternoon, so I'll end up bl..dy gardening...
