With yellow bulbs on front of our Roadster.

Could we do the same for rear indicators?

And what about clear covers with red bulbs for rear brake lights?

David my Mercedes had clear lenses and amber bulbs on the indicators. On the brakes lights I think by law they must red to reflect red light at night when parked.

I'm pretty sure you can use a clear lens and red bulb for rear light/brake light - used to have them on my Land Rover with no issues. They sell kits: Landy Rear Lights

A rear reflector must be red.

I have clear lenses on indicators and brake lights with the corresponding red/orange bulbs in. I was not sure if this was OK but had no issues at MOT time so I assume all OK. The only thing that needs to stay is the rear red reflector that is separate from the lights.

Not sure what age car yours is but some info here on current models that have differing style covers front and rear.

- an Aero8 (obviously!), but coloured lenses swapped out for clear, together with clear LED's which light up in the correct colour.

You may (will....) need to add resistors to the indicators if they flash too quickly.

Personally, I don't like the amber/yellow bulbs in clear lenses as it gives the infamous 'fried egg' look

Reflectors have a red 'tinge' to them but should be full red for MOT time.....

You can also get conventional bulbs in 'chrome' finish. They are silver, but light up as amber.

Due to confusion on my part when ordering for my indicator conversion, I have a complete set of clear L794 (front) and L691 (rear) lens with matching amber filament bulbs. These will suit current Classic models, and back to 2006 at least. PM if interested.

Phillips used to make them I think - they work well and no messing with resistors.......
