Beautiful; however, was the low-loader at the end a cautionary tale of classic car ownership.

Thanks for all your comments guys. I have owned the car since 1992. The last few years it has been laid up. This year I fancy getting it back on the road. I knew it would need some sorting, it did start after cleaning points plugs etc ., but found it was only firing on 4 cylinders . A compression test found no compression on no.6 cylinder and only 3bar on no.2, it should have been around 8/9bar . Hopefully only sticking valves ! After much oil and redex down the bores no improvement , so the head would need to come off. I could have driven it to my friends for the work to be done but decided to put it on the truck for the short journey. It was only sticking valves. New valves and springs, gaskets, plugs are on there way from the Railton owners club . So it should be back on the road soon. Railton's have the same engines and chassis as the Hudson .
